When you don't have a little girl to sew for...

...you can sew something for yourself. So, I decided I was not daring enough to try for a easter dress (maybe next year), but how about a skirt. I started this a few weeks ago, but had some reservations about how it would fit. I put it down and last night came back to it, added the elastic and ruffle. It is a slightly weird length. It falls right below the knee which is an okay problem because I could go back and shorten it.

It isn't fabulous, but I think turned out cute enough to wear. What do you think? I need some confidence.

  1. I think it's cute! You need to go out and get that book - Weekend Sewing by Heather Ross. You would love it - the projects are easy, patterns are full size. Stuff for you, kids, babies, bags. Worth it!

  3. Very cute. And you mentioned "cruise wear" before - I think that would look very cute with a tank for summer days. You definitely have skills with a sewing maching!
